From 21 December to 6 January, EU travellers arriving in Italy for non-essential reasons (for example, for tourism) are subject to fiduciary isolation and health surveillance for 14 days.UK Arrivals : From 23rd December that flights between the UK and Italy could resume after a temporary pause. However, with immediate effect and until 15th January, entry into Italy from theUK is only permitted for those with official residency in Italy or those with absolute necessity, which must be declared in writing. Until 6th January, those wishing to fly must present the airline with a negative Covid-19 rapid antigenic or molecular swab test taken no more than 72 hours before travel. They must also take a Covid-19 rapid antigenic or molecular swab test on arrival in Italy – arrivals by air from the UK will take this test at the airport.
Whatever the result of the two swab tests, those arriving in Italy from the UK must also report to their local health authorities on arrival and must quarantine for 14 days.For UK departing flights Only Passengers who meet the authorized acceptance to travel list i.e. Italian citizens or Residents of Italy (Residence status regardless of nationality), who are in possession of either an Italian national identity card, Italian passport or Italian residence card/permit and have the necessary Self Declaration Form & Negative C19 test (PCR-RT) conducted 72 hours prior arrival should be permitted to board. Mandatory Travel Documentation excluding UK arrivals: All persons travelling to Italy from any foreign location are required to provide a self-declaration.
